• Wall plastering — the flat, even surface everything else sits on top of. Brick, concrete, old damaged plaster, doesn't matter, we prep it and get it level.

• Ceiling plastering — trickier than walls, honestly. Cracks and unevenness up there show the second you switch the lights on, so there's less room for sloppy work.

• Crack and water damage repair — a stain or crack almost never happens for no reason. Something's leaking or moving behind that wall. We check what before slapping plaster over it, because otherwise you're just paying to see the same mark again in six months.

• Full replastering — for walls that are past a patch job. Badly cracked, crumbling, whatever. We strip it down and start fresh.

Plaster Types, By Where They Go

Cement plastering outdoors and in damp spots — durability matters more than a fine finish there. Gypsum plastering indoors, smooth and paint-ready. Waterproof plastering in bathrooms and kitchens where the wall's constantly dealing with moisture and a regular mix would just fail.

Stuff We Fix a Lot

Spalling concrete — pretty common in older HDB ceilings. Concrete cracks and drops off, sometimes you can see the rebar underneath. Leave that alone and the rust just spreads and makes it worse. We cut back to solid concrete, treat the exposed steel, replaster properly.

Hollow or peeling plaster — tap the wall, if it sounds dull instead of solid, that section's come loose from whatever's underneath. We take it off completely before putting anything new on.

Hairline cracks — usually just the building settling or the plaster shrinking as it cured, nothing structural. Leave them though and they let moisture in eventually. We patch these as routine work.

Plastering vs. Skim Coating

If your wall's cracked or hollow or uneven enough to feel with your hand, that's plastering. We don't do skim coating as a separate service.

2 to 3 days enough give or take, depends on humidity and how thick you went. Paint too early and it's probably going to bubble.

Patch or full replaster?

Minor marks, small cracks — patch works fine. Bad cracking or hollow sections all over — that needs a full replaster.

Why do walls crack anyway?

Building settling, moisture behind the wall, or someone rushed the original plaster job with the wrong mix.

Water stain on my wall, can plastering fix it?
